In the last few years our work has evolved in a number of specific fields:
Management Development Programmes
Working with larger organisations we are aware that management competence is a critical issue for business success. We support organisations identify the critical functions of managers in their organisation, assess managers (multi-trait multi-method) on these key competencies, and design and deliver development programmes for them.
Many organisations realise that even with the right individuals in place, effective team cohesion is pivotal in getting the best from their people. We have supported a number of organisations in creating the right team dynamics for success in the workplace. We are different from other team building activity providers because we have the insight and experience to recognise the critical problems in organisations and design solutions specifically for the client.
Organisational climate surveys
There is a difference between thinking you understand people in your business and knowing that you understand them. Organisational climate surveys independently collect and analyse the data required to know your people better. They give direction to you and your Human Resources team on where your organisational weaknesses are, and with our support, plan what to do about them.
More than ever before, the performance of individuals in their job has received the attention of business leaders and Human Resources departments. With economic circumstances as they are, measuring the performance and guiding the development of all staff in an organisation is essential. We have delivered Performance Management Systems, (both paper based and electronic) to major clients, supporting them with training for supervisory staff.
Our solution allows organisation wide identification of strengths and weaknesses and automates the management of appraisals and collection of data. It also includes the setting of performance of performance and development objectives in line with SMART.
Over time, organisations can sometimes lose direction and focus. Using a research driven process we investigate, devise and review the key strands of organisational strategic management for our clients - namely Mission, Vision & Values. Using workshops we follow up at all levels of the organisation to ensure that everyone gets on board with the direction set by these powerful components of business management and leadership.
This work may also be incorporated in our team building activities.
We are dedicated to transforming organisational effectiveness through releasing the power of your key knowledge workers. We combine psychological insight, high academic achievement and in-depth business experience to achieve this transformation.
We are guided by three project principles:
Management is inundated with activities that "look" good, have face validity but are not transferable. Research has uncovered many of the defects of fad management practices that fail to impact the bottom-line of most organizations: namely alignment between strategy and internal behaviours.
We engage in development practices that are evidence-based, i. e. studies show and confirm that given the right dynamics in place, they leave a long-term effect on the company’s functioning and make an impact on performance.
We do not provide 'consultancy' but we support our clients throughout the whole process. We act as facilitators in the process and we work with our client rather than for our client. We believe that we learn as much as our clients learn from us. Every case is different and we ensure that every project leaves a mark to ensure that what is decided and implemented will have a long-term effect.
We want to make sure that our clients take all the benefits possible from any project they entrust us with. It is our practice to present an overview of the general findings to management and what actions are needed to carry the success forward. Hence rather than remaining on the theoretical side, we prefer that we generate movement.
